A red habanero-type pepper with wrinkled, lantern-shaped pods, sold in Canada as Caribbean Red-Hot. It has the fruity, aromatic habanero flavour with heat roughly double a standard orange habanero.
Bushy plants reach about 50–75 cm (20–30") and are open-pollinated and productive. Like other habaneros it needs a long, warm season, so starter plants give Ontario gardeners a valuable head start.
