With more than 30 years of gardening experience, our work blends deep horticultural knowledge with a genuine love of growing and sharing flowers.
Founded by Connie Beck, an educator and quality-assurance professional, our farm operates with care, intention, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Connie’s background in regulation, academic quality systems, and continuous improvement informs every part of our growing practices — from ethical sourcing to variety verification and plant health.
Our family grows all of our flowers ourselves, using organic, chemical-free methods on land that reflects our values and our respect for the environment. We cultivate a wide range of dahlias, including rare and specialty varieties, each grown with the same attention and reverence for beauty.

OUR STORY — The Heart of Petrolia Bloom Co.
Petrolia Bloom Co. began with a simple idea that arrived at the right time.
Connie has been gardening for more than 30 years. Seasons were marked by seedlings on windowsills, flowers grown from seed, and a garden that evolved as she learned, experimented, and returned each year to the plants she loved most. Dahlias were always part of that journey — their colours, forms, and complexity offering a sense of wonder that never faded.
Two summers ago, Connie’s daughter came to her with a practical goal: she wanted an additional summer job to help save for university. Instead of applying elsewhere, she wondered if they could build something of their own — something rooted in the garden they had tended for so many years.
They began bringing hand-tied bouquets to their local farmers’ market, made from the flowers growing right in their backyard.
That first market day revealed something unmistakable.
People stopped.
They smiled.
They softened.
They held the bouquets carefully, as if each one offered a small moment of calm in a very busy world.
The response wasn’t just about the flowers themselves — it was about what the flowers gave people: a pause, a breath, a reminder that beauty still exists in abundance.
What started as a mother–daughter project quickly became a family effort. Connie’s children had always known how to plant and grow — they had spent their lives in the garden. But now, they were learning something deeper:
