We want you to be thrilled with the tubers and cuttings you receive from Petrolia Bloom Co. Below you’ll find details about how and when we ship each type of product, along with our approach to refunds and replacements.
Where We Ship
We currently ship within Canada only. We do not ship to the United States or internationally at this time.
Shipping Dahlia Tubers
When We Ship:
All dahlia tuber orders will ship in spring, once the risk of frost has passed for your region. This typically means late April through early May, depending on your postal code.
Orders are shipped in the order they were received. You’ll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your package is on the way.
Shipping Method:
We use Canada Post or courier services to ship all tubers. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location.
Tuber Quality Guarantee:
We inspect and pack each tuber by hand and guarantee that every tuber we ship has at least one viable eye.
Because tubers are a live product, we do not offer returns. However, if your tuber arrives damaged or fails to sprout and you notify us within 14 days of receiving your order, we will either replace it (if inventory allows) or issue a store credit.

Important Notes:
- We are not responsible for shipping delays once the parcel leaves our facility.
- Tubers must be stored in a cool, dry place until you plant them.
- We cannot offer refunds or replacements for tubers damaged due to improper storage.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons related to colour, form, or garden performance, as these are subject to growing conditions beyond our control.
Shipping Dahlia Cuttings
When We Ship:
Cuttings are shipped in spring, beginning once it is warm enough to ship live plants safely. Orders typically begin shipping in May, depending on weather and location.
Shipping Method:
Cuttings are shipped via Canada Post Express or overnight courier to ensure the plants arrive in good condition. Shipping rates will reflect the extra care needed for live plants.
Cutting Quality Guarantee:
Each cutting is rooted and carefully packed for safe delivery. If your cutting arrives damaged or does not survive transit, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your order with photos and your order number. If the cutting is eligible, we will issue a refund or send a replacement if inventory allows.
Refunds will not be issued if:
- The customer was not home to receive the delivery
- The delivery was delayed due to the customer
- The cutting was left outside or unpacked late, resulting in damage
Important Notes:
- Cuttings are live plants and must be unpacked immediately upon arrival.
- Please ensure someone is available to receive the package.
- We cannot guarantee replacements for plants left outside, delayed due to missed delivery, or damaged due to late unpacking.
