A classic from the British Barbarry line of show decoratives, and one of the most dependable pinks you can grow. The blooms are a clean, clear shell pink with none of the salmon or lavender undertones that complicate other pinks, so they read true in every light. Petals are tightly and evenly arranged into the perfect formal decorative outline that judges look for. Flowers sit in the four to five inch range, a comfortable size for both the show bench and the bucket.
Barbarry Dominion is an easy, low fuss plant with a long flowering season and strong stems that hold each bloom upright. It is a staple in cut flower rows because it is productive, uniform and keeps well in the vase. Pure pink like this pairs with almost anything, from white and cream to deep burgundy, and it is a natural for wedding work. If you are building a collection of reliable formal decoratives, this one belongs in it.
