Tahoma Stellar Feller

A glowing white stellar with a secret. From a distance the blooms read as snow white, but up close each petal carries the softest lavender blush, slightly deeper toward the centre, so the flower seems to change with the light. The petals roll back and radiate outward in the classic star shape, which gives the five to six inch blooms a wonderful sense of movement. Few white dahlias feel this airy.

Plants grow tall, with long stems that make harvesting easy and arranging a pleasure. The stellar form brings texture to a bunch of rounded decoratives and balls, and the near white colour slots into bridal work, all white gardens and cool pastel palettes without effort. Pair it with lavender, blush and silver foliage for a dreamy late summer look. Pinch early and give it room, and it will reward you with a steady run of blooms until frost.
