Smoky pink with a flicker of gold at every petal tip, Coorabell Amy is one of those blends that looks different in every light. The informal decorative blooms are full and lush with slightly twisted petals, and the colour sits between pink and coral with a dusty, antique cast that makes it a favourite with florists. Flowers run around five to six inches, a comfortable medium size.
Tall plants of five to six feet carry the blooms on good cutting stems, and it flowers all season long. The warm pink tones pair naturally with peach, apricot and café au lait shades, or with bronze foliage for a richer autumn feel. It is notoriously stingy with tubers, which is why it is hard to find and worth grabbing when it appears; a strong choice for designers who want that muted Australian bred colour.
