Kogane Fubuki

Kogane Fubuki is a distinctive laciniated dahlia prized for its finely fringed, shaggy petal tips that create remarkable texture and movement. The name Fubuki, meaning 'snowstorm' in Japanese, is fitting the delicately split petals give the bloom an almost windswept appearance while maintaining structural balance.

The flowers open in an unusual muted raspberry tone infused with warm yellow undertones, creating subtle shifts in colour depending on light and pairing. This layered colouring makes Kogane Fubuki especially valuable for floral design, where depth and tonal complexity are desired.

Plants are vigorous and productive, producing textured blooms well-suited for cutting throughout the season. The unique petal form adds contrast and softness to arrangements, particularly when combined with smoother decorative or waterlily varieties.

Its muted raspberry colouring pairs beautifully with dusty rose, soft apricot, caramel, warm cream, muted plum, and autumnal palettes. It brings both texture and tonal intrigue to bouquets and large-scale arrangements.
