Barbarry Melody

Barbara Melody is a classic ball dahlia prized for its saturated magenta-raspberry colour and perfectly rounded, tightly packed blooms. Flowers average approximately 3 to 4 inches in diameter and are borne on strong, upright stems, making this variety exceptionally dependable in both the garden and the cutting patch. Plants typically reach 3.5 to 4 feet in height and produce generously throughout the season.

This variety is a workhorse for cut flower growers and designers alike. Its rich jewel tone pairs beautifully with blush, soft apricot, pale lavender, and creamy whites, while also holding its own alongside deeper burgundy or plum palettes. In our growing space, Barbara Melody stood out for its uniform bloom shape, excellent stem strength, and consistent performance from mid-season onward, making it a reliable and versatile choice year after year.
