Lee's Sweet Tooth looks like pink taffy on a plant. The fluffy five inch blooms are a candy pink that leans toward mauve, with white tips that brighten the whole flower and give it a soft, frosted look. The petals are loosely arranged and a little ruffled, so the blooms feel full without being stiff, and the colour fades gently to paler tones as the flower matures.
From Lee at Goldenrod Gardens in Tennessee, this is a big, vigorous plant at four to five feet that blooms abundantly over a long season. It has earned a reputation as an excellent cut flower, with blooms that keep developing in the vase rather than collapsing. The pink and white colouring is a natural fit with blush, cream and soft lavender, and it is a reliable choice for market bouquets.
