Named for the hot chocolate, and the colour makes sense the moment you see it. Lee's Swiss Miss is a dusty pink formal decorative with a soft cocoa overlay across the petals, a blend that shifts between rosy and milky brown depending on the light and the weather. In the heat of summer it reads pinker; as nights cool the cocoa tones come forward. Blooms are around four inches with the tidy, symmetrical build of a true formal decorative.
The plant stands about three and a half feet, grows loosely upright and does not take up much room, so it fits neatly into a crowded cutting row. Blooms come on long, dark stems that look as good as the flowers. This is one of the most requested of the recent Lee's introductions, and its unusual tones pair effortlessly with café au lait, blush, cream and antique rose. Ideal for designers chasing that muted, vintage palette.
