Painted Madam is a bold and expressive decorative dahlia known for its large 6 to 8 inch golden blooms dramatically streaked with spontaneous red markings. Each flower is uniquely patterned, with painterly splashes that create striking contrast against the vibrant yellow base. The result is a lively, high-impact bloom that brings movement and personality to the garden.
This variety is both vigorous and floriferous. Plants grow tall and robust, producing an impressive number of blooms throughout the season. With proper pinching early in growth, Painted Madam develops into a fuller, bushier plant that delivers even greater flower production from late summer until hard frost.
Its vivid yellow and red colouring pairs beautifully with deep burgundy, warm orange, terracotta, and rich plum tones. It also adds energy and brightness to late-summer and early-fall arrangements.
