Deep plum purple petals fold into a crisp formal decorative bloom about 5 inches across. The colour is rich and moody without going dark or muddy. Its tidy, regular form gives it a polished look in the garden. It was introduced in 2021 by Paul Bloomquist of Lynden, Washington.
Plants grow tall, often 4 feet or more, so a sturdy stake is worth setting early. The blooms hold up well enough for market buckets and grocery bunches, yet look refined in wedding work. Pair it with blush, cream or café au lait tones to soften the plum, or with burgundy for a deep, rich mix. It is a dependable choice for anyone building a jewel tone palette.
