Bloomquist Jean

Bloomquist Jean is a standout informal-decorative dahlia with spectacular coppery-orange, recurved petals that shimmer in the garden light. Blooms span 6–8 inches, creating striking focal heads carried on tall upright plants (up to 5–6 feet) that command attention in borders or cutting beds.

The colour plays beautifully with sunlight, a warm orange-gold palette that deepens toward sunset hues as the bloom matures, giving each flower depth and visual interest. It pairs seamlessly with rich greens, bronze foliage, or muted purples, adding both drama and elegance to your arrangements.

In our garden trials, Bloomquist Jean has proven to be prolific in bloom production with excellent stem strength and vase life. The strong habit and high-impact blooms make it an excellent choice for growers and designers looking for a “wow” variety that performs consistently.
