Lilac pink petals streaked with deeper rose give this big bloom a painterly, brushed look. It is a colour variant of the much loved Cafe au Lait, with the same generous, fully double form and softly twisting petals. In some blooms the streaking is bold, in others it is only a gentle wash. Expect large flowers, up to eight to ten inches across.
Plants grow to about three to four feet with strong stems that hold the heavy heads well. One or two blooms are enough to anchor an arrangement, especially with lavender, mauve and creamy companions. It is a natural fit for wedding work and anyone who loves the classic Cafe au Lait shape with more colour. Stake early and give it steady water through summer.
