A waterlily dahlia in bright cherry red, Christopher Taylor opens into a shallow, graceful bowl of broad petals. In softer light the colour leans toward raspberry pink, and the tight centre stays a deeper shade. The open, layered form gives it an elegant, airy look.
This is a strong growing plant of about 4 feet that flowers from summer until frost. It suits borders, large containers and a cut flower garden equally well. Try it with lime green foliage, soft pinks or deep plum for arrangements with real warmth.
