Warm as the spice it is named for, Ferncliff Cinnamon carries small formal decorative blooms in bronzy red. The petal faces lean toward orange while the reverse shows a deeper dark red, so the flower shifts tone as it opens. Its compact size and neat form make it a crisp, tidy bloom.
Ferncliff Cinnamon is a recent introduction from David Jack of Ferncliff Gardens in British Columbia. Plants grow to about four feet and bloom from mid season on strong stems. The small, rich blooms are well suited to autumn bouquets with copper, rust and burgundy.
