A pale yellow base dipped in smoky purple gives this formal decorative an unusual, slightly iridescent colour. The tones recall 'Foxy Lady', with a moody shift from butter to plum. Neat, evenly layered blooms reach up to about 4 inches.
From Ferncliff Gardens in British Columbia, the plant stays on the shorter side, which makes it a natural fit for the front of a border. What it lacks in height it makes up for in colour, and florists value it for wedding work. Pair it with dusky plums, creams and soft yellows. A good pick for smaller gardens and fans of offbeat blends.
