Giraffe

This double orchid dahlia has long, narrow petals that curl and twist, showing off a mottled, banded pattern that gives the variety its name. Apricot yellow petals are streaked and dappled with raspberry red, so no two blooms look quite alike. The overall look is playful, airy and a little wild.

Plants reach about three feet and bloom from midsummer until frost. Its twisting form and bold markings add movement to arrangements and stand out among rounder blooms. Giraffe is a favourite for anyone who enjoys unusual, conversation starting flowers.
