Honey Pie blends soft yellow with pale orange, settling into a warm honey shade that suits almost any palette. The blooms are informal decoratives, with relaxed petals that give them an easy, natural look. At 4 to 5 inches across, they are a handy size for both garden and vase. This variety was the first dahlia bred and released by Glenerie Farm.
Plants reach about 5 feet and are noted for producing plenty of long, straight stems. That makes it a practical pick for anyone cutting regular bouquets. The gentle colouring works as a bridge between peach, apricot, cream and butter yellow. Try it with burgundy or bronze foliage for a cozy late summer mix.
