Soft cream petals traced with faint pink striping give KA's® Linen a quiet, natural texture that suits its name. This is a novelty form that does not look like a typical dahlia, with blooms of about four inches. Its most unusual habit is a daily rhythm: the flowers fold up in the evening and unfurl again the next morning, a trait that carries on even after cutting.
Plants stay fairly compact at around three feet and are described as heavy bloomers. That modest height makes it easy to fit near the front of a border or in a container. In the vase, its gentle cream and blush tones sit well with antique shades, café au lait types and muted greenery. A conversation piece for collectors and for anyone who enjoys a flower that changes through the day.
