Fresh blooms open a warm coral pink and slowly soften to a gentle apricot yellow as they age, so a single plant carries a whole sunset range at once. The petals are broad and neatly layered into a full, rounded decorative head, with a hint of pink lingering in the centre. It is a soft, friendly colour that sits easily beside almost anything.
Lee's Carolina belongs to the Lee's series of dahlias, and published details on height and habit are limited. The shifting coral and apricot tones are a gift in mixed bouquets, where buds and older blooms add natural variation. It suits anyone who loves peachy, romantic palettes.
