Pot Black

Pot Black is a classic mini ball dahlia prized for its velvety, near-black blooms and exceptional productivity. The 3-inch flowers are tightly structured, forming perfectly rounded spheres in the deepest burgundy tones that read almost black in certain light. Its dramatic colouring makes it an indispensable variety for moody palettes and high-contrast arrangements.

This cultivar is both vigorous and dependable. Plants reach approximately 4-5 feet in height and produce an abundance of blooms throughout the season. Pot Black is also an excellent tuber producer, multiplying reliably year after year a valuable trait for growers building their stock of dark varieties.

The rich, dark blooms pair beautifully with blush, soft peach, antique cream, muted plum, and deep raspberry shades. It adds depth and drama to summer bouquets while transitioning seamlessly into autumn designs.
