Preference

Preference is a refined semi-cactus dahlia admired for its soft pale peach colouring infused with gentle coral undertones. The 10 cm (approximately 4-inch) blooms feature elegantly tapered petals that create light texture and movement while maintaining a balanced, sculptural form.

This heirloom variety, hybridized in 1955, continues to earn its place in modern gardens thanks to its reliable performance and timeless palette. Plants grow to approximately 5 feet in height and produce strong stems with an abundant supply of blooms throughout the season, making Preference an excellent choice for cutting.

Its pale peach tones pair beautifully with antique cream, blush, warm apricot, muted plum, and soft caramel shades. It integrates seamlessly into neutral and warm palettes while adding understated sophistication to bouquet work.
