Skeena Gem

Skeena Gem is a striking miniature decorative dahlia celebrated for its rich, dark red blooms and remarkable productivity. The 2.5-inch flowers are neatly formed with balanced, symmetrical petals that create a refined, compact silhouette. Despite its smaller bloom size, the saturated colour carries impressive depth, giving this variety strong visual impact in both garden and bouquet work.

Plants grow to approximately 4 feet in height and produce exceptionally long, sturdy stems ideal for cutting. True to its name, Skeena Gem sends up an abundance of blooms throughout the season, making it an efficient, high-output choice for market growers and bouquet designers alike. It is also an abundant tuber maker, offering excellent propagation potential year after year.

Its deep red tones pair beautifully with blush, soft peach, dusty rose, creamy ivory, muted plum, and dramatic jewel-toned palettes. The smaller bloom size makes it perfect for tucking into bouquets, adding rich colour and depth without overwhelming the composition.

Introduced in 2024 by Medeek Meadows, this variety combines performance, colour saturation, and reliable production in one compact bloom.
