Tempest

Tempest is a bold formal decorative dahlia celebrated for its saturated red blooms and strong garden presence. The 5-inch flowers are beautifully structured, with evenly layered petals forming a full, symmetrical silhouette. The rich red colouring carries depth and intensity, making this variety a powerful focal bloom in both the landscape and the vase.

Plants grow to approximately 4 feet in height and produce sturdy stems well suited for cutting. With dependable mid-season production and a balanced bloom size, Tempest performs reliably in cutting gardens and bouquet-focused plantings.

Its vivid red tones pair beautifully with blush, creamy ivory, dusty rose, muted plum, soft peach, and dramatic jewel-toned palettes. It integrates seamlessly into romantic wedding work while also anchoring bold late-summer and autumn arrangements.
