Soft butter yellow glows at the base of each petal and fades to blush pink and lavender at the pointed tips. The centre holds a cluster of lavender tinted petals, adding depth to the pastel mix. Its semi-cactus form gives it an airy, starry outline.
It comes from Van Isle Dahlias on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, though little else has been published about it so far. Pastel semi-cactus blooms like this work beautifully in soft wedding work and mixed bouquets. Try it beside cream, peach and pale lilac flowers.
