Fine red streaks and speckles run across butter yellow petals on this striking semi-cactus, so no two blooms look quite alike. Flowers reach around eight inches, with long pointed petals that give it a fiery, starburst outline. It is a showstopper that draws people over for a closer look.
Plants grow to about four feet and appreciate a sturdy stake to support the large heads. The speckled yellow and red pairs well with solid reds, golds and deep burgundy foliage. A fun pick for gardeners who love bicolours and big, eye catching flowers from Vancouver Island breeding.
