Venus

Venus is a luminous collarette-style dahlia celebrated for its soft, ethereal palette and painterly colour blend. The 4-5 inch blooms open with creamy peach and apricot petals brushed with hints of pink and soft salmon, creating a delicate watercolor effect. At the center, a bright sunny yellow disc glows warmly, encircled by a subtle inner ring of smaller petal-like florets that add texture and contrast. The open center invites pollinators while preserving an airy, refined elegance.

Plants grow to approximately 4-4.5 feet in height, forming strong, upright stems that support steady bloom production throughout the season. The balanced size and open form make Venus exceptionally versatile in both cutting gardens and landscape plantings, where it brings softness and movement without overwhelming companion plants.

Its pastel peach tones pair beautifully with blush, champagne, dusty rose, muted lavender, creamy ivory, and romantic sunset palettes. Venus integrates seamlessly into wedding work, garden-style bouquets, and pollinator-friendly plantings.

Introduced in 2016 by Canadian hybridizer Au Beau Pr’, Venus remains a highly sought-after variety for collectors and designers drawn to nuanced, painterly colour.
