Viking

Viking is a rich dark red ball dahlia celebrated for its perfectly rounded blooms and high production. The 2.5-inch flowers are tightly sculpted, with neatly arranged petals forming a classic ball silhouette. The deep red colouring carries excellent saturation, giving this smaller bloom strong visual weight in arrangements.

Plants grow to approximately 4 feet in height and are generous producers throughout the season. Despite the compact bloom size, Viking delivers abundance sending up lots of blooms on sturdy stems. Staking is recommended to maintain clean presentation and optimal stem quality for cutting.

Its dark red tones pair beautifully with blush, creamy ivory, dusty rose, muted plum, soft peach, and jewel-toned palettes. The smaller size makes it especially valuable for bouquet detail work, adding structure and depth without overpowering the design.
