Allen's Bella is a large semi-cactus dahlia in bright purple, with a white reverse that flashes as the petals curl and twist. The blooms have outstanding depth, and it proved itself quickly on the show circuit.
In 2024 it won the Derrill W. Hart Medal for the highest scoring American Dahlia Society trial garden entry in the large and giant class, along with the Lynn B. Dudley Medal for the top bench scores in that class. Bred by Allen Manuel and introduced in 2025, it grows to about three and a half feet with a tidy, well behaved habit.
