Alyshia

Alyshia has a fluffy pincushion centre framed by a ring of broad outer petals, the classic anemone shape. The colour is a rich raspberry magenta, with golden yellow tips lighting up the centre. Blooms are around 3 inches across. Its powder puff look makes it a real conversation piece.

Plants are compact, about 2 to 3 feet tall, which suits containers and the front of a border. It blooms from summer into fall and draws in bees and butterflies. In the vase it adds texture to bouquets of pink, plum and gold. Gardeners looking for something different from the usual dahlia shapes will enjoy it.
