Light orange petals twist and wave in a relaxed informal decorative bloom about 7 inches wide. The colour is bright and cheerful, more sunshine than flame. Its loose petal arrangement gives the large flower an easy, natural look. This variety comes from Paul Bloomquist of Lynden, Washington.
Plants reach about 3 to 4 feet and carry their blooms on sturdy stems. Flowering starts in summer and carries on into fall. Combine it with bronze, peach or deep red dahlias for a warm autumn bouquet, or with purple for a bold contrast. It suits gardeners who want big, cheerful colour without a towering plant.
