Big, bold and warm, Clyde's Choice opens into giant formal decorative blooms of rusty orange that can stretch past ten inches across. The petal backs are a touch lighter than the faces, so the flower seems to shimmer as the petals twist and turn. It is the kind of bloom that stops people at the garden gate.
Floret describes the plants as massive, so give them room, sturdy staking and rich soil. One or two stems are enough to anchor a large arrangement or an autumn display. The rusty orange pairs beautifully with bronze foliage, burgundy and late season grasses.
