Layer upon layer of cerise pink petals form a full, cheerful bloom, opening to show a golden heart as it matures. Fresh buds start out a deep wine colour before unfurling. The pink is bright and clean, the kind that reads from across the garden.
This Hillcrest cultivar grows into a sturdy plant of roughly three to five feet and flowers from midsummer until frost. Staking keeps the stems upright through late summer storms. Pair it with lime foliage, white or deep plum for a lively mixed bouquet.
