Soft buff apricot petals, lightly split and gently curled, give this 2023 Goldenrod Gardens dahlia a wonderfully fluffy texture. The laciniated blooms are about 5 inches across, and the neutral colour reads as warm and understated. It is the kind of bloom that softens everything around it.
Plants grow to about 5 feet, sometimes taller in northern gardens, and produce flush after flush of flowers on long green stems. The hybridizer calls it a flowering machine. Its muted apricot tone blends beautifully with café au lait, blush and rust, making it a favourite for romantic, neutral arrangements.
