Neat, evenly layered petals in pale pink fade to white at the tips, with a touch of lemon at the centre. The formal decorative shape gives each bloom a crisp, tidy look. As the season goes on, the pink tones tend to deepen, so early and late flowers have slightly different moods.
The plant is bushy and clump forming, reaching roughly three to five feet. Pinching early and deadheading through the season keep the blooms coming until frost. Its soft colouring suits wedding work, pastel bouquets and cottage borders alike.
