Pipsqueak

A ring of glowing raspberry petals frames a ruffled inner collar and a bright golden eye. The collar picks up softer pink and lavender tones, giving the bloom a layered, almost iridescent look. At about 3 inches across, it is small, cheerful and full of colour.

Plants stay on the shorter side and bloom prolifically, which makes this a natural fit for the front of a border or a container. The open centre is a magnet for bees and other pollinators. Cut stems add a playful note to small bouquets alongside zinnias, cosmos and other summer annuals.
