Shilo Jazzman

Crisp white petals with a glow of lemon cream deep in the centre give this small bloom a fresh, lit from within look. The petals are narrow and lightly rolled, so the flower has a lively, almost spiky texture rather than a smooth dome. It reads as pure white from a distance and warms up as you lean in. Blooms sit in the small class, around three to four inches across.

A white this tidy is a workhorse in mixed arrangements, where it brightens deeper colours and softens bold ones. Small heads suit posies, jars and bud vases as well as larger designs that need a bright filler. It is a popular choice with home growers, with many small growers offering it. Plant it near the front of a border or in the cutting patch where its clean colour can light up the evening garden.
