Sunny Boy

Sunny Boy is a vibrant ball dahlia celebrated for its glowing golden-yellow petals delicately tipped with a soft red blush. The 3-4 inch blooms are perfectly rounded, with tightly arranged petals forming the classic, sculpted ball silhouette. The warm yellow base illuminated with subtle red edging creates movement and depth, giving each flower a cheerful, sunlit presence.

Plants grow to approximately 3-4 feet in height and produce sturdy stems that hold blooms upright in the garden and perform beautifully in the vase. Reliable mid-season production continues through the first frost, making Sunny Boy a dependable choice for cutting gardens and bouquet work alike.

Its warm golden tones pair effortlessly with terracotta, soft peach, creamy ivory, dusty rose, muted plum, and sunset-inspired palettes. It integrates seamlessly into bright summer arrangements while also adding warmth and contrast to late-season designs.
