Long, narrow petals twist and flick outward in a shaggy, almost feathered bloom. The colour is a deep wine red, darkening to burgundy toward the middle and brightening to pink at the tips. As it opens, a lime green centre sits like a jewel in the heart of the flower.
This one comes from Van Isle Dahlias on Vancouver Island. Its wild texture adds movement to arrangements and stands out in a border. Try it with burgundy foliage, rust or lime green for a bold autumn look.
