Large white blooms carry a soft wash of lavender blush, which gives the whole flower a dusty, vintage quality. The informal decorative petals are loose and generous, and the blooms reach 6 to 8 inches across. Up close the colour shifts gently between white, mauve and pale pink.
Plants grow tall, roughly 3.5 to 4 feet, and hold their big blooms well above the foliage. That muted palette makes it a favourite for wedding work, where it blends with blush roses, cream and silvery foliage. It also softens brighter colours in a mixed border. A lovely choice for anyone drawn to romantic, faded tones.
